PATS 2026 will shine a spotlight on the fast-growing pet grooming sector with an expanded Grooming Zone, featuring new retailer-focused sessions and live demonstrations throughout the three-day exhibition at the NEC Birmingham on September 27-29.
Delivered in partnership with the British Isles Grooming Association (BIGA), the Grooming Zone will bring together some of the UK’s leading professional groomers to share their knowledge, techniques and industry expertise.
As more pet retailers introduce grooming salons and expand their grooming product ranges, the programme has been designed to provide practical advice and valuable commercial insights for businesses looking to make the most of this growing market.
Alongside live grooming demonstrations, BIGA will host a dedicated programme of retailer-focused sessions aimed at helping visitors sell grooming products with greater confidence.
The talks will cover everything from understanding different coat types and selecting the right products to welfare-led grooming practices and building customer loyalty through expert advice.
The sessions are designed to equip retail teams with the knowledge and confidence to have informed conversations with customers, helping them recommend the right products and strengthen in-store expertise.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to watch professional groomers in action, showcasing techniques, styling tips and finishing touches.
