The Pet Food Manufacturers’ Association (PFMA) said it delighted to welcome Yora Pet Foods into its membership.

Nicole Paley, PFMA’s deputy chief executive, said that Yora came to the market amidst much excitement and media attention thanks to its sustainability focused credentials and use of insect protein in their diets for dogs.

She said: “It’s perfect timing to have Yora in membership and to work with them on our plans. Sustainability will be a significant part of our Pet Food Vision going forward and alternative protein sources is an area of interest.”

Will Bisset, Yora’s sales and innovation director, said: the company has got stuck in to PFMA activity by joining the communications and veterinary nutrition working groups.

He said: “The PFMA enables our company to have a voice and make important decisions based on safety and scientific research. Since joining I have been impressed by the collaborative and forward-thinking nature of the PFMA and would highly recommend membership to other companies.”
