The University of Liverpool’s Institute of Veterinary Science has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Punjab, Pakistan.
The MoU strengthens the existing relationship between the two universities and will enable future collaborations to support veterinary research and academic exchange opportunities.
In the future, both institutions will work together to conduct joint knowledge exchange events, research and project developments, and create valuable international opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students to study abroad.
Professor Susan Dawson, head of the Institute of Veterinary Science, said: “I am delighted to be formalising the relationship between our two institutes. Together with the available facilities and skills, this partnership will allow us to create opportunities in improving animal health and welfare, veterinary education and scientific research.”
Professor Muhammad Naeem Khan, dean of the Faculty of Heath Sciences, University of Punjab, said: “At the University of Punjab we deliver quality degree courses that allow our students and graduates to thrive in an ever changing global environment. In an increasingly competitive world we must work together internationally with strategic partners to provide unique experiences and benefit in order to achieve this goal of providing the very best educational experience possible.
