A Cardiff branch of Pets at Home in Cardiff is to get a new mezzanine level to provide a range of pet treatments.
Pets at Home has received permission from Cardiff Council to install a mezzanine floor in its Ty Glas Retail Park, Llanishen, store, to be used for a pet care, treatment and grooming facility.
The application reads: “The mezzanine will comprise three consulting rooms, where general pet care advice is provided and routine treatments (such as flea and worming treatments, vaccinations, and preventative care) are undertaken.
“Provision for dog and cat grooming is also included. Access to the Vets4Pets facility will be exclusively through the main Pets at Home store.”
The application continues: “There will be no separate customer entrance or exit, ensuring that the veterinary element cannot function independently from the principal retail use.”
