    The National Office of Animal Health (NOAH) has unveiled its new Strategic Plan for 2025–2028, setting out a clear and ambitious roadmap to support the UK animal health sector through a period of rapid change and opportunity.

    The plan focuses on strengthening NOAH’s role as a trusted voice for the responsible use of veterinary medicines, while driving innovation, upholding high standards, and delivering meaningful impact for its members and wider society.

    The launch was celebrated at NOAH’s annual Summer Event, where industry leaders gathered for a panel discussion on the future of artificial intelligence in animal health, alongside the official unveiling of the new strategy.

    The plan for the next three years outlines the organisation’s commitment to four core strategic pillars:

    • Influence;
    • Innovation;
    • Standards, and
    • Impact.

    NOAH chief executive Dawn Howard said it reaffirms NOAH’s purpose to promote the benefits of licensed veterinary medicines, products, and services, and sets out its vision to be at the forefront of UK animal health and welfare.

    Mrs Howard said: “This strategy is a confident statement of intent. It’s a roadmap that will guide our work as we support our members through a period of technological advancement, regulatory evolution, and growing public interest in sustainability.

    “We are proud to take this step forward and look forward to working with all our stakeholders to bring it to life.”

    New board elected
    The event also saw the election of NOAH’s new board, with Matthew Frost (Elanco) elected as chair. Ned Flaxman (Norbrook Laboratories) was elected as past chair, and Oya Canbas (Zoetis) takes on the role of treasurer.

    NOAH also confirmed that Andrew Buglass (ECO Animal Health), Caitrina Oakes (Vetoquinol), and Charlotte Covell (Virbac) were all re-elected as vice chairs, continuing their valuable contribution to the organisation’s leadership.

    Other newly elected board members are Helene Lanz (MSD), Alessandro Torre (Boehringer Ingelheim), Rachel Mallet (Bimeda), and Will Ridgway (Krka).

    NOAH chair Matthew Frost said: “It’s an honour to step into the role of chair at such a pivotal time for NOAH and our industry. Our new strategic plan provides a strong foundation to drive meaningful progress over the next three years.

    “I’m looking forward to working with our board, members, and partners to ensure the UK remains a world leader in animal health, welfare and innovation.”
