Jollyes formally opened the doors and welcomed customers on Friday to its brand-new store at Wyvern Retail Park, Wyvern Way, Derby, DE21 6NZ.
The first VIP (Very Important Pet) through the doors was local dog Piglet, a Peekapoo, who wasted no time sniffing out the natural treats range in store and received a Lifestage goody bag to celebrate being the first paws through the door.
Performing the official red ribbon cutting was Mayor Jonathan Smale with his dog Victoria, alongside retail and supply chain director David Stokes, members of the Jollyes leadership and store team, and Jollyes’ mascot Molly.
A Jollyes brand ambassador handed out free Frozzys ice-creams for dogs, helping them keep cool while their owners explored the new store.
Leanne Jones, store manager of the new store, said: “We’re delighted to finally open the doors and welcome customers on the red carpet to the new store here in Derby.
“It was great to see so many dogs come and see their new pet store, including our first VIP paws through the door – Piglet.
“The whole team here is excited to bring their pet expertise and value that’s been making a real difference to pet parents right across the UK.”
