Fiona Nellis has been appointed group head of sales at Battles Group

Following the recent acquisition of Trilanco, the expanded Battles Group has appointed Fiona Nellis as group head of sales.

In this role, Ms Nellis will lead the national sales function as the two businesses complete their integration, with a remit to protect and grow revenues across the group.

She brings more than 30 years of commercial experience in the equine, agricultural and veterinary pharmaceuticals sectors, and joins from Fevara plc, formerly Carr’s Agriculture (Horslyx), where she was head of equine for eight years.

Prior to that she held sales and product management roles at Dodson & Horrell, CEVA Santé Animale and ran her own freelance commercial consultancy. Her career spans national and international team management, product launches, channel strategy responsibility across some of the industry’s most recognisable brands.

Ms Nellis said: “The Battles Group brings together two businesses with fantastic reputations, an exceptional product range and a genuine commitment to customer service.

“This is a pivotal moment for the group and I’m excited to be part of building on that foundation, helping customers grow their businesses and demonstrating the real breadth of what we can offer as a combined operation.”

Richard Dewey Clarke, managing director of Battles Group, welcomed the appointment as a signal of the group’s commitment to investing in its commercial capabilities as integration progresses.

“Fiona is exactly the calibre of commercial leader we need as we bring Battles and Trilanco together and look ahead to the next chapter,” said Mr Dewey Clarke said.

“She knows this industry inside out, she understands our customers’ world and she has the track record to help us grow. With the operational integration on track and our product and service platform stronger than ever, having Fiona leading our sales effort gives us real confidence about what we can achieve.”
