Zoetis UK has announced that it is calling on horse caretakers to complete a short online survey, to help with its mission to transform the quality of life of horses.
Together with the research team behind VetMetrica, that develops quality of life tools to measure how an animal ‘feels’ about its circumstances, Zoetis is developing an innovative tool to measure the health-related quality of life for horses.
Zoetis said that horse caretakers possess unique expertise and knowledge that provides crucial input to this project and so we are asking that you spend around 15 minutes to help us understand the relevance and clarity of specific horse behaviours.
“The survey results will support the development and validity of our new measurement tool”, said Professor Jacky Reid, “especially when used in horses living with chronic conditions like arthritis or laminitis where their quality of life is significantly compromised.”
All responses are anonymous and will be used solely for research. The link to the survey is here.
