Beaphar refreshes non-brushing dental range for cats and dogs

Beaphar has relaunched its non-brushing dental range for cats and dogs with new formulas and updated packaging.

Designed to be easy to shop and simple to merchandise, the range is priced competitively, helping retailers offer a clear choice of dental care options to suit different needs, routines and preferences.

Dental problems are the number one health issue in dogs in the UK, and whilst daily brushing is the gold standard for prevention, many pet owners find it difficult to achieve .

Nearly half of owners are unaware of how often their pet needs dental care, and 38% struggle to brush their pets teeth because their pets just don’t like it.

With the cost of veterinary dental care increasing, many pet owners are looking for ways to manage dental care at home and Beaphar has built its dental range around simple, affordable and easy-to-use products.

The relaunched range covers a variety of formats for both cats and dogs, designed to be used alongside brushing or as part of a regular dental routine where brushing is not possible. Products include Beaphar Plaque Away Dental Powder, Plaque Away Water Additive and Fresh Breath Spray.

Additionally dental treats are available for both dogs and cats. Key range updates focus on improved formulas, with the same competitive price points, palatability and convenience pet owners expect.

Together with Beaphar’s brushing options, including toothpastes, toothbrushes, toothgel and dental kits, the wider range helps retailers to offer a complete dental care solution from one trusted brand.

Claire Edmunds, UK marketing manager at Beaphar, said: “Dental care is one of the most important categories in pet retail, with over half of pet owners purchasing dental products in 2025.

“This relaunch gives retailers an even stronger range to meet that demand. Brushing is an important part of pet dental care, but it’s not always practical for every owner or every pet, so non-brushing options have a vital role to play. We’re confident the improved range will resonate with retailers and customers alike.”

To help retailers showcase the refreshed range, Beaphar has a range of support materials available, including social media assets, web banners, enhanced product listings and point-of-sale items.

Retailers can also access online dental training, providing SQPs with AMTRA, VetPol and VetSkill accredited CPD through the Beaphar Training Academy.
