Pets at Home opens new store in Gateshead, following £800,000 investment

Pets at Home opened its new pet care centre at Gateshead Team Valley Retail World on Friday, August 15.

The retailer has invested £800,000 in the 6,500sq ft store and created new job opportunities for people in Gateshead and the surrounding area.

The new store features a dedicated nutrition area, with an increased range of fresh, frozen, including Butternut Box and raw food options to reflect the diverse feeding choices adopted by pet owners.

An expanded Health Centre means it’s easier for customers to manage their pets’ everyday healthcare needs, while a small animal pet village and aquatics area aims to inspire the next generation of pet owners and encourage face-to-face conversations on responsible pet ownership.

The grand opening of the store kicked off in style with store manager, Paula Hull, leading a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Ms Hull said: “We’re incredibly excited to open the Petcare Centre right here at Gateshead Team Valley Shopping Park. This isn’t just a store – it’s a haven for pet lovers and their furry friends.”
