The National Sheep Association (NSA) is excited to announce the launch of its latest prize giveaway offering the nation’s sheep farmers a fantastic opportunity to improve their on farm efficiency with the prize of a mobile sheep handling system.

The amazing prize of a 3.0m Porta-Yards sheep handling system (250 head capacity) is worth more than £10,000 and is kindly provided by Wise Agriculture.

Wise Agriculture is a family-run business based in North Yorkshire servicing the entire UK. The company specialises in supplying premium brands of cattle and sheep handling equipment from around the world, including weighing and EID equipment and software to livestock producers across the country.

The 3.0m Porta-Yards mobile sheep handling system by Landquip NZ is a combination of quality materials and functional design. Capable of handling 250 head, capacity can be increased when used with an existing fence to provide even more benefit.

The prize draw is open to any UK sheep farmer over the age of 16. Both NSA members and non-members can enter, but entries are limited to one per person/email address. The quality product is worth £10,200 plus VAT and will provide one lucky winner with a stress-free system when working with their flock to perform a range of animal handling tasks.

Entries will be taken throughout 2023 with a single winner announced early next year. Entries can be made online at go.nationalsheep.org.uk/WiseAg and in person at NSA events this year.

NSA chief executive Phil Stocker said: “NSA is delighted to be able to offer this brilliant prize to the nation’s sheep farmers this year. Our sincere thanks go to Wise Agriculture for making this possible with its generous sponsorship of this year’s giveaway.

“The prize of a modern, compact system offers sheep farmers an incredible chance to win a prize that will undoubtedly enhance the efficiency of their farming enterprise.”

Wise Agriculture Managing Director Edward Wise says: “The 3.0m Porta-Yards mobile sheep handling system is ideal for any producer looking to upgrade their handling system and improve flock management. We are excited to be working with NSA to provide this system to the lucky winner.”
