Vetpol has announced the recent passing of Debbie Collins, its customer care manager, who has been a cornerstone of the business over recent years.
“Our Debs was so much more than just ‘customer care’,” Vetpol director Caroline Johnson said. “I often described her as a mother hen for the way she fluffed up her feathers and took Vetpol students and SQPs under her wing!
“She cared passionately about everyone she worked with, helped those who struggled with their studies or the technology involved with online exams, celebrated every qualification achieved, thus developing true friendships with many of you along the way.”
Mrs Johnson continued: “Debs received her cancer diagnosis in January 2023 and continued to work, intermittently, as treatment and surgery allowed, until earlier this year when ill health took over. She absolutely loved Vetpol and everyone associated with our business and was passionate about her role.
“Around two months ago Debs was transferred to a hospice where she passed, last Sunday, with family around her.
“Vetpol will be making a donation to the hospice who looked after Debs so well in the final weeks of her life. Please feel under no pressure to join us, but if any of you would also like to contribute to the hospice, you can do so by clicking here.”
