The National SQP Awards are back and now is the time to plan your entry – the deadline for entries is Friday, July 26.

The National SQP Awards is a key feature on the sector calendar, which recognises those who have excelled in in the animal health industry across the UK.

This year’s National SQP Awards – which are run in association with AMTRA and AHDA and supported by NOAH – will culminate in a gala awards ceremony and lunch in London on Friday, November 15.

Finalists will receive a pair of tickets to attend the ceremony, which will provide a unique opportunity for the whole industry to come together and celebrate the achievements of their colleagues and peers.

The event will feature a three- course lunch with complimentary pre-dinner drinks and table wine. There will also be a celebrity host and an after party, which will be held close to the venue.

The awards are free to enter and there are 12 categories.

The overall principal sponsor is Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health. The main award, National SQP of the Year, is sponsored by Ivomec Super. The winner of this category will be chosen from the winners of the Companion Animal, Equine, Farm and Veterinary Practice of the Year categories.

Top tips to consider when entering the National SQP Awards 2024

Here are some tips that you might like to consider as you prepare your entry.

    Plan ahead
Consider the awards criteria when planning your entry

    Start early
Give yourself plenty of time to prepare your entry. The entry deadline is Friday, July 26.

    Invest in it
Producing a successful entry is time-consuming, so make sure you create time in your diary to make sure your entry is completed.

    Keep it simple
Focus on what the judges are asking for in the judging criteria. Write in plain English and make sure the entry is succinct, clear and easy to understand

    Prove it
Demonstrate how you have achieved clear results for your customers. Back up your claims with testimonials.

    Keep checking
Be sure to check your entry thoroughly before submitting. Sloppy spelling, grammar and typos may give the judges the impression that you have not put enough effort into the entry process. Ask a colleague to proofread your entry.

    Don’t delay, enter today!
