AHDA updates on 2018 Conference plans

Organisers of next year’s AHDA Conference, which is being held on January 17 and 18 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole at the NEC, said it will kick off 2018 with the animal health event of the year.

Bryan Lovegrove, AHDA’s secretary general, said: “It is an ideal event to meet up with veterinary medicine manufacturers, animal health product companies and of course the essential networking with colleagues from within the industry.

“All delegates will have full access to the AHDA exhibition hall, which has been moved to be right next to the main speaker halls. The exhibition hall is packed with companies from across the animal health industry and their staff will be on hand to give all delegates the help and advice that is required.”

AHDA has announced that over the two days of the AHDA Conference there will be a total of around 47 CPD points available for SQPs looking to enhance their knowledge in key areas.

“We have already booked a wide range of speakers with subjects that cover farm animals, dogs, cats, horses, communication skills, the VMD, the animal welfare act to name a few,” Mr Lovegrove added.

The best value for delegates is the two-day delegate package that includes the ‘must attend’ event of the AHDA Gala dinner. This attracts over 300 delegates and is certainly a night to remember. AHDA has set aside a number of rooms at the hotel so that it can secure your accommodation needs. These are limited to a certain number, so early booking is recommended.

Mr Lovegrove added: “We have reworked the layout of the whole event to give all delegates easy access to the speaker sessions as well as the exhibition hall. In addition to the two speaker rooms on the Thursday, January 18, we can also announce that we are holding a separate specific workshop on the Thursday morning that will provide all four modules of the compulsory farm animal CPD. This will start at 9am.”

AHDA is also providing up-to-date booking facilities that will streamline your attendance requirements and has also created the AHDA Conference microsite, which can be accessed HERE.

AHDA said there will also be regular updates through social media, which will keep delegates nformed of all of the latest developments regarding this must attend event.
