Jollyes Pets is to open its new Sheffield store at Asda Drakehouse on Friday (September 25), complete with prizes and limited-edition goody bags.
The new 2,700sq ft store will officially open its doors with Rotherham-born entertainer Paul Chuckle, best known as one half of comedy duo the Chuckle Brothers, on hand to cut the ribbon and welcome the first customers between 9.30-10.30am.
To celebrate the opening, customers can get their ‘paws’ on 100 limited-edition goody bags and spin Jollyes’ iconic ‘Wheel of Fur-tune’ for a chance to win prizes, while Jollyes’ mascot, Jolly, will also be on hand to meet and greet visitors. The celebrations will continue on Saturday, with an entertainer in store to add to the family fun.
The new location will be Jollyes Pets’ first store inside an Asda superstore, giving Sheffield shoppers the chance to pick up everything from everyday pet essentials to specialist products as part of their regular supermarket shop.
The opening will create seven new jobs in the local community and will be led by store manager Alan Burgar, who joined Jollyes Pets last year to open the Chesterfield store.
Mr Burgar said: “I’m really excited to be opening the new Drakehouse store and welcoming Sheffield’s pet parents through the doors. Since joining Jollyes Pets last year, I’ve loved learning more about the different types of pets we cater for and the products that help keep them happy and healthy.
“We’ve got plenty planned to celebrate the opening and we’re looking forward to meeting our new customers and their pets. I’m also really excited to have the opportunity to build and develop another brilliant team here at Drakehouse, with a real focus on great customer service whilst providing great value to the pet community here in Sheffield.”
The opening will take Jollyes Pets to 128 stores across the UK, with 11 new locations opening since January and further stores set to open in Mansfield on October 16, and Dunfermline on November 5.
