NoBACZ Healthcare launches new NoBACZ Navel in one-litre tin

NoBACZ Healthcare has extended its antibiotic-free, waterproof barrier product range with the launch of the NoBACZ Navel 1 litre tin to provide superior protection while delivering better value, flexibility and sustainability for livestock.

The new tin offers up to 200 applications per pack from just 25p per application and is ideal for use on navels and ear tag sites in lambs and calves from larger flocks or herds. It features recyclable aluminium packaging in an easy-to-store format, which can either be decanted into a 500ml NoBACZ Navel bottle to administer via the NoBACZ spray head or poured directly into a dip cup to provide the best navel coverage.

In the largest ever navel protection study in lambs carried out by Dr Fiona Lovatt BVSc PhD FHEA DSHP DipECSRHM FRCVS from Flock Health, NoBACZ Navel was proven to offer superior protection compared with iodine.

Lambs that had NoBACZ Navel applied to the navel and tagging sites were on average 360g heavier than those in the iodine group at eight weeks and there were 18 more lambs alive per 1,000 born.

Suzanne Page, head of commercial at NoBACZ Healthcare, said: “NoBACZ Navel has really taken the farming industry by storm, with positive feedback from both farmers and vets, particularly after the 2025 lambing season, however, farmers were keen for a larger pack size to enable them to protect even more livestock.

“The New NoBACZ Navel 1 tin provides users with superior protection to iodine in a larger pack, while delivering better value for money in recyclable packaging.”

NoBACZ Navel is an innovative, rapid-setting and long-lasting solution for the navel dipping of lambs and calves, which can also be used on the area around ear tags for ultimate protection. Developed in conjunction with Fiona Lovatt, NoBACZ Navel rapidly disinfects and dries the navel in as little as two hours and seals with a colourful, natural resin that forms a long-lasting waterproof barrier to protect against bacterial ingress from the environment.

Combining traditional cleansing with ethanol with a unique barrier offering long-lasting protection from environmental pathogens, NoBACZ Navel is antibiotic-free and consists of a natural polymer and metal ions. It can be applied by dipping or spraying and contains a bitter agent to deter ewe or cow interference.
