The Society for Companion Animal Studies (SCAS) has launched a new brand identity and website.
This marks the first major update in over a decade and reflects the charity’s aspirations to engage with a wider audience, stay relevant in a changing landscape, and more effectively promote research and evidence-based practice.
The refreshed brand and website aim to better communicate SCAS’ core values and provide an accessible, user-friendly experience for its diverse audience, including members, researchers, animal practitioners, healthcare professionals, and the wider public.
The new website features improved navigation, reliability, mobile responsiveness, and easier access to research, resources, and membership information. In addition, the site benefits from a cleaner look, more readable font, and more inclusive imagery that better reflects contemporary UK society.
The new SCAS logo, while introducing a fresh look, retains key elements of the charity’s visual identity, including the signature navy blue and the triangle symbol, which represents the three interconnected dimensions of the One Health One Welfare approach: animal welfare, human wellbeing, and the shared environment.
“This brand refresh is not just cosmetic, it represents our ongoing evolution as a trusted source in human–animal interaction research,:” said Dr Sandra McCune, communications team leader at SCAS.
“We’re proud of our heritage and excited to move forward with a new look that reflects our purpose and future ambitions.”
