    Downland announces new franchisee in Cumbria

    Downland has announced the appointment of a new franchisee, Tynedale Farm Services, who will be distributing Downland products to farms across Cumbria.

    Downland UK franchise manager Zona Kelly said: “Downland delivers farming excellence across the UK, recognised for our exceptional franchise partners who provide invaluable advice and solutions for their own local farming community.

    “We are delighted to welcome Martyn, Peter, and their fantastic team into Downland and look forward to working with them to grow sales of Downland products across Cumbria.”

    Tynedale has been an established supplier to livestock Farmers across Cumbria for 54 years and moved into its Wigton branch 30 years ago. The business has grown to include four branches in Wigton, Longtown, Holmrook and Ulverston supported by an experienced team of SQPs and on-farm sales representatives who have established reputation for great advice, support and service.

    Manager director Martyn Turner said: “This is a great opportunity for Tynedale, as our family-run business continues to grow, further developing into new product areas are a key part of our ongoing plans. We believe the added national expertise of Downland can help us to make a real difference to the farmers of Cumbria.

    “We have a fantastic, loyal team who understand the needs of their customers which has created a recipe for success; a friendly warm welcome, with excellent, local independent advice.”
